    Years ago when I worked in retail, women would always solicit my assistance for swim suits since I was a bra fitting expert.  I could never understand why, then it all made sense when the more I worked with the different lines of swim, they all seemed to have a challenge regarding bra fit and “shape solutions.

    The heavens and earth have heard women all over the world, because now this is not your mother’s swim suit anymore pool divas.

    Spanx has launched their new collection as well as companies such Fantasies, Miracle Suit and Freya are giving women the package in terms of providing the essential fit and shape requirements they need to look fabulous in a suit.  I know for most women, the words confident and swim suit DON’T go together.

    I personally have experienced a new glow as I found styles that not only flattered my figured but provided a fashion statement as I lounged pool side.  Tankini is my personal favorite!

    It’s exciting to see the range of styles that help a woman to achieve maximum figure flattery.  You can now adjust the bottom half of your suit so that if you feel a little “bottom heavy” a boy short or skirt can be selected to smooth your curves.  If you’re traditional or modest, a one piece suit is still a fan favorite because it tends to elongate the body.  The Miracle Suit has been the leader for years in this category.  The bra fit issue is no longer an issue.  If you’re a D, DDD or even double F or G, they have a suit for you.  Can anyone say AMEN!!!

    The Spanx Collection has a mix of fashion and shape solutions to give a woman the total package.  Just like bras, swim is not a “one style does it all” solution anymore.

    You should have different collections to work with your travel and or home recreation requirements.  Try to own at least two or more.  When you travel, you can allow one suit to dry and continue your pool side adventure.  Rotate your swim just like you would a bra.

    Don’t forget cover ups are your friend for adding an element of fun and style while you dine or sip by the seaside.   Cheers to you and a fabulous season at the pool!

    Spring Shapewear Review – Focus on Fashion and Fit

    It’s amazing how time is flying by and Spring is just around the corner.  The fashion magazines are already showing all the trends.  I am an absolute fan of Doncaster.  I hosted an event in Stamford CT with a wardrobe stylist Noelle Ward who spoke about the trends for the season.  I loved her descriptions.  Americana is making a return (red, white and blue color stories),and orange is the new “it” color of the season.

    Noelle spoke about the fresh look of Black and White.  She wore it well with a spectacular white trench coat that is on my must have list.   It’s all about ruffles this year.  You can take a blouse and pair it with a pencil skirt, or the skirt has the dramatic flair and it is paired with a wide belt and a tunic top that is sleek and fitted.  As usual, women around the world sometimes cringe when they hear the word “fitted”.  Ladies, have no fear…shapewear is your friend for flawless dressing.  Take for instance the fitted knit top that works with a slim pant or skirt.

    A shapewear camisole is a must have.  Cass is leading the season with shapewear that glides on the body and fits but also can be used as fashion statement because of the fabrication.  It does not look like a shaper.   A shapewear slip is also a perfect compliment to the season, or if you prefer a biker short holds you in place and does not ride.  Remember, you can adjust the levels of control now.  Sometimes a girl needs comfort and smooth lines for pants, skirts and clingy fabrics.  As you prepare for spring remember to make shapewear apart of your shopping list.  The fashion possibilities are unlimited…

    Valentines Lingerie Shopping – Loving You!

    The sexiest time of the year is here.  I adore Valentines Day and all the girlie girl stuff.   There is something for every woman.  I remember the days when big puffy slippers and a sheer or silk night gown was considered “the gift”.  Thank goodness we have evolved and the types of gifts and styles for women range from cotton pajamas, sexy bras to two piece sets that work after the special day.  We as women need to connect to this holiday beyond just the boyfriend or husband ritual.  That is just as important, but loving yourself in lingerie is a 365 day affair.  I started being a fan of Valentines Day shopping for me when I saw the vase selection of styles come through the door when I worked in retail.  I thought, wow, this is the time to shop!  The vendors pull out all the stops, and after the big day is over it’s usually sale mania (my favorite).  You can grab some major deals on matching bra and panty sets ( Lingerie Fit Expert Must Have).

    As for a color story, red and black are the norm, but have you tried the new it color of the season “purple”.  Surprise someone special with a smoking hot purple frock or matching set.  Every fashion magazine is screaming purple passion mania.  I also believe white is perfect as a transition to spring and summer that are right around the corner.

    If you are full fit and fabulous, I highly recommend Freya for beautiful lingerie that is sophisticated and spectacular in fit!  La Perla has taken the limits off this year with a fabulous red and black lace set that fits like a dream.  Several of my clients have purchased and can not thank me enough.  This is a collector and could be worn under the right blouse as a camisole affect.  Think beyond what you see.  Lingerie is a “solution” now for fashion as well.

    This year, I am recommending bra sets to clients.  They are the gift that keeps on giving.  You can use it everyday beyond the special occasion.  Remember, loving you goes beyond just Valentines Day.  It’s all about loving yourself without limits daily.  You are the gift.  Have a wonderful day…
