As we end the year, the goals and resolutions begin to emerge.  If fitness is on the list, then having the right gear including a proper fitting sports bra is very important.  Compression is the key word here.  This does not mean smashing, “I can’t breathe get me out of this”.  Compression defined in terms of lingerie fit is the bra allows you to move comfortably and not deal with the jiggles.  Now that you can get sports bras sized, if you are a D or above, the options are now plenty.  If you’re smaller framed, the best solution is the XS-XL collections.  Remember to select the correct style for the level of fitness you are doing on a daily basis.  If your doing kick boxing, then a firm fit sports bra is important.  If it’s yoga, no wire should be just fine.  Thank you to all our readers and Facebook Friends in making 2010 a wonderful year for Lingerie Fit Expert.  Make 2011 a spectacular and successful year!

As the weather transitions to winter, a woman must stay inspired as it pertains to fashion.  Our norm when it gets cold is to cover it up and bundle it up.  One of the top fashionista trends right now is sweater tights with prints and stylish details including bling.  I think this is brilliant because it expands your wardrobe opportunities.  You can update a black skirt, or take a long tunic and make a total statement without breaking your wallet.

Women today can select from so many hot mama solutions to go from day to evening to play.  One of the hottest trends to come back recently is the bodysuit.  The bodysuit allows you to show your curves and not worry about panty lines, the jiggles or the bumps we normally get in our clothes.  Is it for you?  I always encourage clients to go beyond the line and try things on, how else will you know?  Can I wear it to work?  Absolutely!  If you’re in a conservative environment, then use it under a jacket or blouse.  After work, break out sister..  One of the advantages of the style is that you don’t need to worry about multiple layers (bra, shaper, and camisole).  One garment does it all!

A Salute to Elizabeth Edwards

Recently Elizabeth Edwards lost her life to breast cancer.  She fought like a champion and encouraged so many women around the globe to not give up.    Her book Resilience is the perfect description to describe her attitude on life.  Breast cancer challenges and changes so many women’s lives.  In this year alone I have seen a close friend and my aunt fight cancer and win.   In thinking about the word “Resilience”, I encourage every woman to think about what makes them strong, a conqueror and a true fighter for what matters most in their life.  Most importantly, let’s thank and remember Elizabeth Edwards for the life she lived, and the lives she changed by her incredible smile and passion for life.  Rest in peace Elizabeth.
