Fall Trends: Loving the Leopard

I have always been a fan of animal prints. Whether you’re a leopard, zebra or snake skin fan, making a statement with animal (of course none harmed) is fashion chic. This year leopard is making a huge splash on the cat walk and fashion pages. I have seen everything from handbags to hair accessories. In the land of lingerie, there are a multitude of solutions for the cheetah ladies who love the print. You can layer it with a shapewear camisole, or show it as a solution with a bra. If you like it, but don’t love it try incorporating it into underwear. If you want to make a statement, a tight or legging is the ultimate wow factor. Get wild this fall.

As we have discussed in our previous blog, the short dress is the must have of the season despite record breaking cooler climates. Even my hair stylist was going to Kansas City for New Year’s and talked about how she was going to wear the short dress with leggings and thigh high boots. This has been featured in the fashion magazines as well. The category has exploded with all players in the industry including hosiery icon Wolford. The Velvet Legging. This is what I call “all eyes on you”. Sexy, multiple color options and totally spices up winter wardrobe solutions. Even if you’re not a fan of the short dress, take ordinary black and make it pop with color leggings. Hosiery also doubles as shapewear don’t forget! The legging can be worn in place of a shaper. Sensational style can be so affordable with adding a trend such as leggings to your existing mix. A new outfit is not always necessary. One of my favorite stylists is Amy Salinger (www.AmySalinger.Net). Amy has taught me so much about the importance of signature style and the “details” such as hosiery. Hosiery is truly a way to incorporate instant diva style into your wardrobe. This is going to be a focus for 09 with my clients and events. I am excited to partner with Amy in hosting signature seminars for women on fashion, fit and solutions that really work! I agree with Amy with the fact that every woman should have a pair of fishnets. My pick is a fashion and shaping solution in one! Leggings are the runway talk of the town right now as well.
