When I think of Wacoal 85121 I think of one of my friends and clients Dianne Travis-Teague. Diane is a survivor of breast cancer. I met her when I was in retail and she invited me to a significant birthday party. At the event, she talked about how she survived breast cancer. The women in the room had been there to help her through the journey. I was so inspired. We dined on filet mignon at The Ojai Valley Inn compliments of Diane. The most magical part of the evening was when Diane gave everyone a gift for attending with the quote from Maya Angelou, “Surviving is important, but Thriving is Elegant”. I remember thinking I will engrave this in my heart every time I help a woman with a lingerie fitting who has had breast cancer. Diane wore this bra with elegance and she is still thriving today. When I speak across the country, often women laugh about my term “mountain top experience”. In all fairness to the petite or “mini mountain” ladies out there, they too want to have uplift and something to fill their cups. I wanted to focus on the importance of those women who are petite and need a bra that really fits them. A few years back, I was so excited when Wacoal launched their petite collection. It’s that time of the year. Back to school once again for young girl’s everywhere. I loved shopping with my mom for clothes, shoes, and the essentials. When I was in retail I remember the mom’s piling into the department to purchase their daughters their lingerie wardrobe. Sometimes it was a wonderful experience for both mom and daughter, or it was world war two. Finding lingerie that fits for a teen is a journey. Here are some of the basics every girl should have in her drawer:

I have fallen in love with the Wacoal 65033 solutions bra. I am a huge proponent of support, so when I first realized it was no underwire, I was not sure if it could properly shape my clients. Surprise! Not only did it shape them but the options for their clothing grew by leaps and bounds. Halter, clear strap, criss-cross, straps moved in or out, it was like hitting the gold rush for people who do not like strapless. I became extremely impressed when I dressed a woman for a black tie event who refused to wear a strapless and so I took the straps off the bra and the shape held, no straps required! My client ordered the bra in both black and nude. A proven winner!

Are You Wearing the Right Bra for You?

I was in Washington D.C hosting a bra fitting event for my apparel clients. The transformations were incredible and the clients were overwhelmed with inspiration on how lingerie can truly change your body as it pertains to fashion. One of the common themes of the event was the fact that most women were wearing the wrong style. Are you in the club of divas wearing the right size but wrong fit for you? It is overwhelming with so many styles to choose from now. The common error is the fact that someone could be wearing a full figure bra and they are an “average wire”. What is the difference? The Full Figure or Full Fit has a more “open” wire allowing for expansion of the breast tissue whereas the average wire is not so full. Bras such as average wire style Wacoal 65115 and full figure Fantasie 7710 are perfect examples.

This makes a major difference for so many women. I saw a client look like she lost 10 pounds just by changing the style. In addition, you can look frumpy or even out of proportion in your clothing by not selecting the right style. So remember, select a style that flatters your figures and shapes your natural frame.
