"As a survivor of breast cancer, lingerie is an important connection to "self" and the healing journey. It allowed me to see myself beautiful from the inside out"

Thriving
We salute Lorraine Jackson as our spokesperson for the Lingerie Fit Expert.com Thriving Page for Survivors of breast cancer and her Foundation Pearls of Hope. Lorraine like thousands of women want to know they can still wear lace bras, halter tops and body conscious clothing comfortably despite having a lumpectomy or mastectomy, and you can! Here is some advice to thriving and looking your best:
LFE Facts
A personal fitting with a Certified Mastectomy Fitter is imperative after lumpectomy or mastectomy surgery. Lingerie Fit Expert recommends Nordstrom Stores. Click on the Nordstrom link on our site and go to store locations and events on their home page for a store near you. Make an appointment with a fitter in the store for a private consultation. Bring a friend/spouse along to encourage you during this stage of the healing process. Medicare and Insurance paperwork assistance are provided. In addition, pockets are added to bras at no charge. If you do not have a store near you, then ask your physician for a recommendation or your local American Cancer Society.
Pockets can be added to a regular bra including sports bras, strapless, and seamless to accommodate mastectomy forms. You can wear today's fashions confidently! Many seamstress know how to make pockets.
Poolside Diva! Enjoy your favorite aquatic activities with a specially designed swim form. These forms have been treated to resist against chlorine damage. Pockets can be added to your swim suit as recommended previously.
Remember, any bra can be made into a mastectomy bra with the addition of pockets
